Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17.07.2026 · Applies to the Ungrip iOS app
The short version: your recovery data stays on your device. Ungrip has no backend server of its own. We don't have an account system, we don't ask for your name or email, and the things you track inside the app never leave your phone.
Who we are
Ungrip is developed by Caner Tekin ("we", "us"). You can reach us any time at support@getungrip.com.
Data that stays on your device
Everything you enter or generate while using Ungrip is stored locally on your device only. This includes:
- Your onboarding answers and your Grip Score
- Streak counts, check-ins, logged urges, and any notes you write
- Your settings and preferences
This information is not transmitted to us, is not backed up to our servers (we don't have any), and we cannot see it. If your device backs up to iCloud, that copy is governed by Apple's privacy terms, not ours.
What we do not collect
- No account, no login, no email or phone number
- No name or contact details unless you choose to email us
- No selling or sharing of personal data — ever
- No advertising trackers
Third-party services
To run subscriptions and the paywall, Ungrip relies on a few trusted providers. They receive only limited technical and purchase-related information — never the recovery data described above.
- Apple — processes all purchases and subscriptions. We never see or handle your payment card. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat — manages your subscription status. It receives an anonymous app identifier, purchase status, and basic device/app information. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
- Superwall — displays and measures the paywall. It receives basic device and app information to show the right screen and count views. See Superwall's Privacy Policy.
This list reflects the current version of the app. If we add a provider in the future, we'll update this page before doing so.
Managing your subscription
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You can view, manage, or cancel any time in your device's Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us; you can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Keeping or deleting your data
Because your data lives only on your device, you're in control of it. Deleting the Ungrip app removes that data from your device. There is no server-side copy for us to hold or delete.
Children
Ungrip is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Security
Your data is stored using your device's local storage. No transmission or storage system is perfectly secure, but by keeping your recovery data off any server, we remove the most common ways such data gets exposed.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll revise the date at the top. Significant changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
